Role Overview:
Bechtel is searching for an SAP Configurator Analyst to act as a liaison between Bechtel Business Services (BBS) Human Resources (HR)/Payroll and Corporate System Application Support. This position requires knowledge of HR Benefits, Payroll and FI, combined with a understanding of system functionality. The analyst would obtain requirements from BBS HR and Payroll functions and help in resolving issues related to SAP HR and Payroll issues.
Responsibilities:
- Work directly with user team to ensure systems deliverables meet work process requirements.
- Analyze and diagnose applications problems, gather requirements, recommend system solutions and enhancements to improve processes and systems and implement solution.
- Develop eCATT scripts to assist in data conversions and mass data loads for users.
- Develop Functional and Technical specifications in accordance with IS&T standards and procedures.
- Provide second level operation end user support.
- Work with training manager to ensure training materials and all documentation are updated with enhancements/changes to the SAP system.
- Assist in development of test cases and coordinate enhancements/changes through testing. Actively solicits subject matter expert involvement and participation in testing.
- Configuration in SAP Payroll Module to support payroll engine (Expatriate Payroll, National – US, Canada and others)
- Configuration in SAP for 3rd Party and US Tax Reporter
- Configuration in Human Resources, Organization Management, Benefits and Time.
- Configuration in SAP Time Module
- Create OSS messages and liaisons with SAP in resolving issues
- Develop queries using Adhoc query tool set in SAP
- Integration and Unit Testing for HR, Payroll and FI configuration
- Provide guidance on requirements for system enhancements
- Testing of Reports and Interfaces
- Able to use SAP ABAP debugger
- Develop Technical Design document for Business Addins and Enhancement Framework
- Develop Design document for HR Forms and Workflow
- Configure Cloud Solutions (BrassRing, SAP FieldGlass, SAP SuccessFactor)
- Develop Technology Process Maps for Integration
- Provide 24x7 operational support to HR and Payroll users as needed
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science Degree and a minimum of 6 years of relvant SAP configuration experience in version ECC 5.0 or higher
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum 5+ years of SAP Configuration experience in HR, Benefits and Payroll.
Experience in implementation planning, gap fit analysis, process analyis, testing, rollout and post-implementation support
Ability to translate Business requirements for system changes into specifications
Ability to perform successfully in meeting the customer’s business needs and creating/maintaining positive customer relationships
Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills are a must
Ability to assume significant responsibility and work independently
Strong multi-tasking and time-management skills
Strong attention to detail and meticulous work style, appreciation of data quality
Ability to work well within a team
Experience in working in a distributed and cross-functional team environment
Ability to do presentation to end users and application support group
Familiar with Software Quality Assurance (SQA) principles
SAP experience in configuration, support and maintenance
