You will be working as a Sales Manager and will be the part of Process Automation Business Area Process Industries division based in Dubai, UAE. In this role you will be reporting LBU Manager, PI ME and will be responsible to develop, plan and ensure execution of Global Division, Business Unit or Product Group sales strategy. Set both qualitative and quantitative targets for products, systems and/or services and ensure maximum profitability, market share and customer satisfaction. Proactively lead, develop, and coach the sales organization to exceed the sales targets through high performance.

Your responsibilities

  • Oversee the Marketing & Sales and Business development functions of the Local Division including the solutions and service portfolio. Achieve the sales targets for your Local division that include order volume and order gross margin.
  • Manage sales costs within budget and establish sales and portfolio mix target throughout the organization and taking corrective actions when needed.
  • Create, plan, and implement the sales strategy, and strategic sales and business development initiatives, in alignment with the local and global strategy and oversees all marketing and sales activities within the local division. Ensure efficient marketing communications.
  • Manage the mix of orders to ensure that all sectors and portfolios are adequately covered. This includes attention to the growth of the service and channel partner business.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction and improve Net Promoter Score. Acquire, develop, and retain new customers.
  • Ensure that sales operations are executed in accordance with company procedures and with a high degree of Integrity. Evaluate and manage the risks and opportunities during the bidding process and negotiate contract terms that are most beneficial to ABB.
  • Lead and support key pursuits, set up the bid strategy, evaluate competitive pricing and negotiate deals.

Your background

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical engineering or Mechatronics.
  • Minimum 8 years of sales management experience, it is preferred to have exposure to sectors like Metals, Mining, Cement or Paper within projects or automation business.
  • Leadership experience with a strategic mindset, financial acumen, and a strong sales management capability.
  • A proven track record of leading a high-performance sales team.
  • Should have good Communications & presentation skills.
