Kaitaia Hospital is a general regional hospital serving a widely scattered population of approximately 24,000. The 28 bed hospital has a general; paediatric and maternity ward with all the supporting services, and is supported by Whangarei Hospital in providing secondary care services. The range of medical care managed at Kaitaia Hospital is complex and interesting, providing care for the growing population as well as the huge influx of tourists in the summer period.
We are looking for a dynamic team player to provide medical care to patients presenting to the emergency department as well as outpatients and inpatients. Ideally you will bring experience working in rural medicine or a commitment to learn and grow in this niche specialty.
