Please note: This posting is for a 4-month Fall 2022 Student placement with a start date of September 2022, and end date of December 2022. In order to be eligible for this 4-month Student position, you must either:
Be returning back to school after the work term end-date of December 2022; or
If you are not returning back to school (i.e. are graduating in December 2022), you must require the full 4-month work term as a mandatory component to in order to graduate successfully.
What is the opportunity?
Play a key role in the development and production of a suite of risk reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders, including the Chief Risk Officer, Group Risk Management, Group Executive, RBC’s directors of the board, investors, rating agencies and regulators.
What will you do?
Provide assistance in development and enhancement of key risk reports and presentations for internal & external stakeholders, including participating in the Credit Risk Reporting Initiative.
Collaborate with individuals across Risk Management, Finance, Corporate Treasury and the Business Segments to derive business insights on the key enterprise risks.
Produce presentation that are well written, error free that are done effectively and on a timely basis.
Contribute to the maintenance of the SharePoint site, network drive, training maps, and process documentation.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
Currently enrolled at a Canadian co-op program from a post-secondary institution with a focus on finance or commerce.
Strong MS Office skills – Word, Outlook, Excel (Pivot tables, Vlookups, VBA, Macros) PowerPoint, Access.
Strong relationship management and team-oriented approach.
Good problem solving skills, is highly analytical and can make logical or implied connection from a vast array of information Excellent interpersonal and highly developed communication skills (verbal and written)
Ability to perform under time constraints.
Strong attention to detail.
Nice-to-have
Working towards an accounting designation or registered in a risk management program.
Confidence in working autonomously or as member of a team.
Capability to manage multiple priorities across a number of assignments and prioritize effectively.
Ability to resolve any minor conflicts/issues and escalate to others as appropriate.
