The Business and Partnerships team is the key conduit between non-TEO stakeholders and the TEC and an exemplar of the relationship management role.
The Relationship Manager will exemplify knowledge and experience in relationship management, actively managing their allocated regional portfolios and work collaboratively internally and externally to ensure that learners gain the maximum benefit from TEC's products and services.
What will you be doing?
- Engaging effectively with a variety of customer groups e.g., industries, local govt, employers, iwi, and Pasifika communities.
- Seeking out and leveraging opportunities for TEC to engage in high impact partnerships.
- Provide high quality regional insight and advice to TEC on a range of matters, including strategic and programme operational issues.
- Collaborate with all teams to drive for continuous improvement.
- Bringing together and forming relationships and forums to provide input to and deliver on TEC's strategic initiatives.
What will you need to show?
- Proven relationship management skills: you are a people person, adept at navigating relationships at all levels and across varying sectors, naturally collaborating with others.
- Initiative: you will be motivated and pro-active, great at taking the lead and working in often ambiguous and evolving environments.
- Business acumen and strategic thinking skills: you will have sound understanding of the machinery of government and the ability to align knowledge to the system to support operational goals.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills: you can identify areas of risk and opportunity and are skilled at exploring a problem and reaching a solution.
- Cultural Intelligence: You will have experience in or the ability to demonstrate cultural awareness and to operate effectively in diverse cultural contexts.
