The mental health and addictions service deliver a variety of services across the Waikato region. We are a service undertaking a huge programme of change to deliver better outcomes to tāngata whai ora and whānau in our region. We know how important strong relationships are; with people who access our services, with their whānau and with the communities we serve.

This area of work can be both demanding and very rewarding.

Mental Health and Addictions services strategic vision is to improve the health, independence and quality of life for consumers who experience a mental illness. The philosophy that underpins this is one of hope, compassion and use of therapeutic self to support the consumer through their journey towards recovery.

 Required skills & experience:

• a current annual practicing certificate that enables you to work in mental health

• a minimum of 12 months experience working in mental health.
