The Perioperative Unit have an ongoing requirement for Registered Nurses who are available to work on our casual pool. This is an exciting and challenging opportunity to work as part of a multi-specialty team of professionals and to work in a dynamic and busy unit.
We are looking for trained Operating Theatre Nurses, however while previous experience is desirable, we will consider applicants who are interested in working in this area of nursing and who have the appropriate background. We offer you an orientation period, in-service education and opportunities to develop within all specialties within a supportive team environment.
The Perioperative Unit covers elective and acute surgery and has a 24 hour a day, 7 days a week acute service. As a casual Registered Nurse you may be required to work any day (Monday to Sunday) and any shift including morning and afternoon shifts, as and when required.
Applicants must hold a current drivers licence in order to be considered, must be registered with the Nursing Council of New Zealand and hold a current practicing certificate.
