The General Surgical Department delivers secondary elective and acute services to the population of Counties Manukau region with a range of tertiary services including Vascular, Upper Gastrointestinal, Colorectal, Breast, Endocrine orthopaedic hands, plastics and general medicine ( Winter Plan)  We specialise in delivering care for patient pre and post thyroidectomy/Para thyroidectomy. Our wards are equipped with state of the art equipment including eVitals. We have a dynamic team who enjoy a challenge and have a great sense of humour.

 We are looking for enthusiastic Registered Nurses to join the energetic and innovative team on Ward 34 North - General Surgical ward at Middlemore Hospital. You will need to have a passion for Surgery and a focus on working together to ensure that our patients are our number 1 priority. The variety of patients will motivate you while providing you with lots of opportunities to continually up skill yourself; broaden your knowledge in surgical nursing and learn from our exceptional staff.

Working within a culturally diverse environment, our RNs are able to communicate and support our patients and whanaau/family to ensure that a high standard of care is provided at all times.

• New Zealand Registered Nurse
• Current Annual Practicing Certificate
• Minimum 2 year post registration experience in an acute Surgical ward
