Rotorua is a beautiful town based near the stunning Redwood forest known for its walking tracks and mountain biking. You would be a stones throw away from the lakes and a short drive away from the beach. In winter the snow is a 2 hour drive away if you're into winter sports. 

Rotorua Community Youth Centre Trust is looking for a dynamic part-time (Monday - Friday) registered nurse to work within our health team at Te Maioha O Parekarangi (Rotorua Youth Justice Residence). 

Rotorua Community Youth Centre Trust is a Not for Profit organisation funded through a variety of DHB and other contracts and grants. The Trust aims to enable youth to reach their full potential by helping them to be happy, healthy, safe, and moving towards a prosperous future. Our primary focus is youth development and youth health.

The purpose of the health team at Te Maioha O Parekarangi is to provide a comprehensive, holistic health service that New Zealand's most vulnerable youth are comfortable to engage with and in doing so improve their ability to maintain good health and well being when they return back to their communities. 

We are looking for a registered nurse that has a minimum of two years post registration experience to join our team. Experience in primary care would be an advantage but not essential. You need to be a self-starter who is goal orientated and committed to supporting the health and well-being of vulnerable young people. It is essential that you have strong communication and administrative skills, proven success in developing and maintaining strong client and inter-agency relationships, can work well on an individual and team basis, and a passion for youth
