What is the opportunity?
As a Reconciliation Specialist you will be responsible for accounts receivables, policyholder tax calculations and the set-up of transaction details in RBC Express in Insurance. You will provide accurate daily financial reconciliation between the RBC Insurance bank accounts, general ledgers and various administration systems along with documentation as well as accurate taxation calculations.
What will you do?
- Responsible for the timely and accurate reconciliation of designated RBCI bank accounts and all entries within these accounts
- Responsible for completing the daily reconciliation from designated administration systems. This includes review of cash receipts, returned items, credit card payments and declines, bank memos, preauthorized payments, online payments, and payments activity within RBC Express. Responsible for the investigation and resolution of any variances and manual payments.
- Responsible for manual calculations of loan repayments for policyholder tax reporting purposes
- Maintain relationships with bank contacts, internal and external partners including CAS and FSS for all reconciliation, tax calculations and RBC Express activities and assists partners with inquiries.
- Responsible for the set-up of policyholder payment details in RBC Express.
What will you need to succeed?
- Financial acumen and knowledge and understanding of Basic Accounting Principles
- Experience with Life and Health administration systems including Ingenium, Bedrock, Broker Capsil and Career Capsil,
- Expert technical skills in the area of Excel, Outlook and Word
- Experience in a high volume/high intensity customer service environment and the ability to manage workload within specified timelines
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a customer service /back office environment, preferably in the financial or insurance field
- Post-secondary education (i.e. community college, university preferred), insurance courses (i.e. LOMA) is an asset
