Our Firm

Come and right wrong with us. At Shine Lawyers, we challenge the “norms” of traditional law firms, and are committed to understanding the needs of our clients, pro-actively working to always stand up for the little guy. We’re a national team of dedicated professionals, whose willingness to think creatively positions us ahead of the pack.

Core Personal Injury

We are fortunate to work with people across a range of personal injury litigation matters. With over 40 branches across Australia, we continue to progress and grow our practices aiming for the best results for their clients. A hands-on approach at all levels means that Shine is a law firm willing to tackle multi-nationals or explore home grown issues in the fight for justice.

The Role

Due to internal promotion, we are seeking a driven Receptionist to join our collaborative Sydney CBD office on a part-time permanent basis. You will support our team that handles a variety of personal injury matters.

You will be required to work Monday - Wednesday between 8:15am - 5:30pm.

You will proactively provide chargeable and non-chargeable support to our legal team with general administrative duties, in order to obtain maximum compensation for clients, from file opening to closure.

The Responsibilities

  • Reception duties, including greeting clients and organising meeting rooms
  • Prepare matters for conference and hearing including preparation of court documents, legal documents and general correspondence
  • Assist with drafting briefs and documents such as claim forms and schedule of damages
  • Coordinate medico-legal appointments, compulsory conferences and mediations
  • General file and archiving management
  • General office administration as required (including telephone calls, mail requirements, photocopying, filing, stationery requirements, office purchases etc.)

The Skills

  • Fast and accurate typing skills, with intermediate Word and Excel skills
  • Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise and multi-task
  • Previous legal administration experience is desirable

What We Offer

An ASX-listed organisation, committed to shining a light on injustice and making the world a better place, one client at a time.   Our search is for like-minded people, passionate about giving a voice to those who would otherwise be unheard, and putting the client at the heart of all they do. We offer:

  • Opportunity to reach your potential via clear career pathways
  • Competitive remuneration and benefits program
  • A progressive and supportive working environment, not afraid to pioneer new ways

We look forward to receiving your application.
