Job Description

Our Head Office team, located in 107 Brunswick Street, Fortitude Valley, supports our varied sites across Brisbane and Queensland through a number of services, including Admin, Finance, Accounts, OHS, Human Resources, Safeguarding Children, IT and Marketing. The YMCA is one of Brisbane's most recognisable customer-focused community organisations.

The organisation operates a number of services including childcare, fitness and recreation, outdoor education and camping, accommodation and hospitality along with benevolent activities including Vocational Schools, affordable housing and children's breakfast programs.

ABOUT THE ROLE

In this role, you will be provide high level reception, administrative and secretarial support to the YMCA's Administration Office, working closely with the Group Manager of Administrative Services in the delivery of ancillary services to the YMCAs in Brisbane, Y-Care (South East Queensland) and other YMCAs in Queensland. You will also provide executive support to the Chief Executive Officer of the YMCA of Brisbane.

This is a full-time permanent role, with working hours during business hours Monday to Friday.

SELECTION CRITERIA

To be successful in this position, you will be required to meet the following selection criteria:

  1. Minimum of three years' experience in an administration and/or reception and/or executive assistant role;
  2. Demonstrated ability to perform a range of administrative duties including reception, data and word processing, filing and photocopying;
  3. Demonstrated professional approach to work including prompt and courteous provision of service with ability to use initiative to work autonomously with the need for confidentiality and discretion;
  4. Demonstrated attention to detail and exceptional organisational skills including an ability to prioritise tasks and quickly respond to changing priorities;
  5. Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills;
  6. Have the ability to work successfully in a small team;
  7. Demonstrated high level of computer literacy in software applications including Microsoft Office suite of programs (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
  8. Possess, or be willing to obtain, a National criminal history check
