McAuley Community School is excited to invite applicants to consider joining our Administration Team by applying for the Receptionist / Office Administrator position.

 

RECEPTIONIST / OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR: 

As the first point of contact, the Receptionist / Office Administrator will be a warm, confident and engaging individual with outstanding administration and communication skills.

The Receptionist / Office Administrator will provide a professional presence and inclusive welcome to all, reflective of our school's culture, values and vision. At the heart of this role is a commitment to building strong and enduring relationships with leadership, staff, learners, families and members of the wider community.

 

THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT WILL DEMONSTRATE:

  • The ability to undertake a wide range of receptionist and administrative duties with high levels of competency
  • The ability to exercise a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Highly developed time management and organisation skills with an attention to detail as it relates to the work environment and role

Additionally, the successful applicant will possess or agree to obtain the following:

  • Working With Children Check (WWCC)
  • Catholic Police Clearance
  • Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education and Care (RRHAN-EC)
  • Basic Emergency Life Support (BELS) 

It is a mandatory condition of employment for employees to be and remain vaccinated against COVID-19 or provide a medical exemption to COVID-19 vaccination endorsed by the Chief Public Health Officer. 

 

DESIRABLE CHARACTERISTICS: 

  • Previous experience in school reception/administration
  • Proficiency in the operations of Microsoft Office Suite and knowledge of school databases (ceSIS and SEQTA)
