He angitūtanga | About the Role
The NgÄ Whenua RÄhui Team is looking for exceptional staff members to deliver biodiversity monitoring work within the ÅŒpÅtiki and Gisborne Districts. You will provide specialist skills and experience for the operational delivery of biodiversity monitoring programmes on whenua MÄori with a NgÄ Whenua RÄhui formal protection agreement. This will entail a significant allocation of fieldwork to collect biodiversity monitoring data from a wide range of sites and projects plus providing office based advice when requested. You will be part of a national team and may have responsibilities that extend beyond the location where you reside. Put simply, these are specialist technical monitoring roles that involve a large proportion of time in the field across many different sites.
We have two positions available. Depending on the preference of the successful candidates these would be located in or near ÅŒpÅtiki or Gisborne regions. These are permanent full-time positions that will require some work away from home for up to 10 days at a time.
