Description

Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre Clinical Fellowships in Radiation Oncology

We are seeking outstanding candidates for two clinical fellowship positions, available from March 2022.  If you have a keen interest in one of these positions, please review the position description or contact us for a confidential discussion:

The Radiation Oncology Fellow will divide their time between clinical practice in radiation oncology and a defined research project, with 0.6 FTE allocated to clinical duties and 0.4 FTE allocated to research.  In their clinical role, it is expected that the successful candidates will be able to practice as radiation oncologists, with minimal supervision.  It is expected that fellows will contribute to the academic productivity of their tumour stream, including successful completion of their research project and active participation in other research, clinical and educational activities of the unit.

Both Australian and international candidates are invited to apply.

Applications close on March 7, 2022.  Interviews are anticipated to take place in early late March 2022.

Australian Candidates

A medical degree and registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiology (FRANZCR) in Radiation Oncology are pre-requisites for appointment.  You must have completed specialist training in radiation oncology, or be expected to complete your specialist training before commencing this position.

International Candidates

A medical degree and recognition by the AHPRA and recognition of your training in Radiation Oncology by RANZCR are pre-requisites for appointment.  You must have completed specialist training in radiation oncology, or be expected to complete your specialist training before applying for this position.   All international applicants will also need to hold a visa issued by the Australia Department of Immigration prior to commencing employment.
