Ko tā mātou mahi - Our Role 

We are currently recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to join our Auckland based team and provide quantity surveying, value engineering, cost management and related services to Construction Group projects, programmes, and business management work-streams.

Ngā pÅ«manawatanga ōu - What you will bring 

A minimum of 3 years in a cost management and quantity surveying role (e.g. estimator, project QS) within a contracting, professional services or client organisation.

Well developed quantity surveying and estimating skills, including the ability to take off quantities and develop SOQ/SOR and budgets, develop tender documentation, evaluate tenders, and support contract administration. This is to include a sound working knowledge of NZS3910:2013.

A thorough understanding of cost management, value engineering, and risk management as relevant to Kāinga Ora's scale of activities and asset portfolio. This should include residential construction industry conventions and project management approaches, current market conditions, and construction rates.

Some experience in advising clients on improvements, strategies and estimated costs, commissioning and management of external consultants, and review of deliverables, would be advantageous.
