At Midwest, the manufacturing arm of Cannasouth group, we re-pack and manufacture pharmaceutical and supplement products, and are on the journey towards manufacturing our first medicinal cannabis products.   

THE ROLE

To coordinate and support the quality systems of the business in accordance with the methods and practices within Cannasouth group GMP practices.

You will report to the Quality Lead at Midwest Pharmaceutics and be responsible for day to day Quality assurance tasks in support of site activities enabling and facilitating timely release of product. 

 

  • Receipt, approval or rejection of starting materials, packaging materials, bulk and finished products.
  • In-Process QA/QC checks during production operations
  • Preparation of production batch paperwork and product labels in line with the production schedule including issuing batch numbers.
  • Review of production paperwork to ensure completion prior to final release.
  • Liaising with Production to ensure efficient handling of production documentation and product samples.
  • Ensure all quality documents are managed and maintained in accordance with the company Quality Policy, Document Control SOP’s and cGMP.
  • Monitoring and trending of temperature controlled areas
  • Participate in both internal and external quality audits
  • Support validation and qualification of systems, processes
  • Train production team members on key quality systems & changes

THE PERSON

Our ideal candidates will

  • Be a science graduate with 1 year of experience within a quality role in a pharmaceutical or food manufacturing facility. 
  • Have a strong Attention to detail
  • Enjoy fast paced working environment
  • An appetite to learn within this exciting new industry
