Our multidisciplinary team works predominantly with school age children, young people and their families within the community. We are looking for self-motivated and skilled nurses who are able to communicate with a diverse range of people, and have a passion for working with children, young people and their families.
This position will be Monday to Friday and the successful applicant will be working across Waitemata DHB with a fixed base in Waitakere.
You will need to have well developed interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. The ability to work cross culturally is essential. You will also demonstrate commitment to on-going professional development.
Previous paediatrics nursing experience is preferred but not essential. Public health nursing experience is preferred, as is knowledge of health promotion strategies and nursing assessment. New Zealand Registration, a current practising certificate with proven post registration experience is essential as well as a current, full New Zealand driver’s licence. An independent vaccinator’s certificate would also be an advantage.
