MidCentral DHB provides excellent opportunities for training and non-training registrars. There are runs in inpatients, rural, community, acute care and child & adolescent psychiatry. A total of 9 Registrars and house officers share the afterhours work with worked long days/night duties and corresponding rostered days off making it very attractive.

Training Registrars participate in the teaching programme with Wellington Regional trainees based in Porirua.

The city of Palmerston North is very liveable and affordable. No sitting in traffic - a 5 – 15 minute commute is the norm and there is lots to do on your down time.

MidCentral DHB requires ALL its employees to be vaccinated against COVID-19. To comply with the current Health Order, applicants must be doubled vaccinated for COVID-19 no later than 1 January 2022 and should have had a booster as from 15 February 2022.
