Mō te tūnga | About the role

As one of Oranga Tamariki's property specialists you will manage all the property aspects relating to Oranga Tamariki homes and sites in your region. This includes acquiring and disposing of property and accommodation, managing all maintenance and modifications to properties, and providing expert advice to inform decision making on property future needs.
You will work closely with the Regional Delivery Managers on large scale projects and re-fits as part of Oranga Tamariki's five-year programme of work to upgrade and expand front line sites across the country.

Key requirements of the role include:
• A minimum of 5 years commercial property management experience within a large organisation
• Demonstrated project management skills.
• Passionate about making a real change to the lives of Tamariki and Children.
• Ability to communicate and present complex ideas in engaging and easy to understand terms.
• Solid understanding of financial data and support recommendations with quantitative data.
• Experienced in managing multiple contracts, supplier, and service level agreements.
• Understanding and appreciation of cross-cultural issues and concerns, in particular; knowledge of tikanga Māori, and Pacific peoples' culture
• Have outstanding communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships.
