Project Manager
**This is a 6-month Fixed Term Contract opportunity.
The UK Savings and Retirement business is focusing on growth with propositional development a key priority. We need a project manager to join the team and lead the delivery and implementation of a priority project.
As project manager you will be responsible for working with Proposition leads and Operational Sponsors to implement agreed changes. Owning plans to implement capabilities and launch to market, ensuring the appropriate governance standards and controls are in place to implement in line with business standards. Delivering for Aviva Customers and ensuring our teams have what then need deliver goals and ambitions.
Key accountabilities in the job:
Responsible for working with propositional leads and Operational Sponsors to make decisions that mean propositions can be launched to market on time and enable the realisation of planned benefits
Decision making focus areas to include 1) Ensuring the minimum required for launch to customers is in place. 2) Implementation of the business design including Third Party management 3) Risk and Control 4) Ensuring implementation meets Aviva standards and deciding on best fit methodology of delivery
What the role will entail:
Overall responsibility for the successful delivery of the Proposition, ensuring workstream outcomes can be achieved in line with business goals and ambition
Creating & managing plans and scope delivery to realise benefit plans.
Responsible for management of project finances & work with the Operational Sponsor to manage the business case
Manage key Delivery and Operational Risks and Issues and facilitate to resolution, ensuring appropriate controls are in place to manage risks
Collaborate with key IT Platform Change teams ensuring clear understanding of accountabilities and tracking/progression of 3rd party change
Skills & Experience in the job:
General Project Management skills in delivering technical & operational change in a Financial Services environment
Focus on implementation management and business readiness
Qualifications that demonstrate knowledge and understanding of Project Management disciplines and use of methodologies i.e., Waterfall/Agile
Previous experience of managing projects end to end

Salary circa £60,000 depending on location, skills, experience and qualifications
