The Infrastructure and Digital Assets (IDA) team provides a range of asset-based services to support the delivery of Corrections' core business and ensure we can maintain consistent service delivery regardless of external events and crises. The group comprises four key areas: Asset Management, Procurement, Public Private Partnerships and Digital Services. The Project Coordinator is responsible for providing high quality project coordination support for the Project Delivery Team.

Some of the role accountabilities include:

  • Ensure that projects are effectively and efficiently coordinated applying appropriate project management disciplines.
  • Coordinate and maintain project plans, registers, minutes, reports, memorandums and timelines.
  • Identify, organise and coordinate the project life cycle phases for control purposes.

If you have sound track record of project coordination experience as well as experience coordinating projects within the public sector and involving vendor relationships, this is the right role for you!

To succeed as a Project Coordinator, you will be able to demonstrate the following skills:

  • Demonstrated conceptual, analytical and problem-solving ability.
  • Sound numerical skill and financial knowledge with the proven ability to apply financial principles and concepts with logical and methodical outcomes.
  • Clear understanding of principles a contract and its Service Level Agreement (SLA).
  • High level skills with MS Project, Excel, Word, Power Point, database applications (or similar).
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the proven ability to build and maintain highly effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience.
  • PRINCE2 Foundation would be desirable

To be qualified for this role you must hold a current NZ driver's license.
