About the business and the role

ONZL provides professional secretariat services to industry groups, not-for-profit organisations and Government departments across New Zealand. Our motto is 'we'll take care of it'.

This role has been established to provide project support for our clients in the management of their communities and special interest groups.  

We're looking for someone 35-40 hours a week to join our team. This position can be in Wellington or Auckland.

We have a work from home policy, with the option of working from home up to 40% of the time after the first 3 months. At the moment the team are all working from home.

Job tasks and responsibilities

Primary responsibilities for this role include:

  • Be the first point of contact for allocated groups
  • Project coordination on specific projects helping drive the work forward
  • Understand the strategy and objectives of the groups and support them in undertaking activities to achieve their goals
  • Coordinate input for projects from external parties
  • Arrange and attend meetings (online and in person), take minutes
  • Co-ordinate, prepare and circulate meeting papers and monitor and follow up action points
  • Update website content
  • Set up email newsletters and other communications in Mailchimp
  • Maintain membership contact databases

Skills and experience

We'd love to hear from you if you:

  • Have at least four years’ experience in a similar role
  • Consider yourself a super-organised professional with great relationship skills
  • Have superb attention to detail
  • Thrive in a busy, varied role
  • Like a small, friendly and supportive work environment

Advantageous, but not essential:

  • Experience with any of the following tools advantageous:  Wordpress, Mailchimp, Zoom, Zoho CRM, Survey Monkey
  • ICT industry experience
