Ko tā mātou mahi -  Our Role

The Project Coordinator will report to the Policy Manager in our Te Kurutao, which is the Māori relationships and Māori capability division in Kāinga Ora. Some of its key functions include supporting the business to lift the collective Māaori capability, leading the relationships with our Māaori partners, and developing Māori policy and strategies.

You will provide efficient and effective administrative services, and contributes to the performance of the team and any service improvements. One of the key aspects of this role will be the administration aspects of the Wai 2750 Kaupapa Inquiry to support documentation, plans and reporting. This role will also include writing up reports, scheduling meetings, and monitoring deadlines, the action list, and the risk register.

We are pleased to offer a flexible location for this role across Aotearoa; however, occasional travel (approx. 3-4 times per year) to Wellington will be necessary, potentially for up to a week at a time.

We invite all applicants with administration and/or coordination experience with a willing to grow and develop in this newly created Project Coordinator role in our Te Kurutao space. If you have some experience in Te Ao Māori, administration and some coordination experience and are willing to take on a new challenge - step up into this new role and make it your own. Ngā pūmanawatanga ōu - What you will bring

  • You'll have a basic understanding of tÄ«kanga Māori, a developing knowledge of the implications of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and a passion for furthering Māori housing aspirations
  • You'll have experience providing administration/coordination support in a large programme/project environment to multiple team members
  • A qualification in projects, Business/Management, Finance or Quality Assurance would be advantageous
  • You'll be adept at juggling competing demands, effectively prioritising and multitasking to deliver to tight deadlines
  • You'll be adept at preparing written reports and presentation material
