Mō te tÅ«nga | About the role

Oranga Tamariki authorised a Road Transport Initiatives project which will build upon the initial transition work for fleet management.  This role will deliver a range of initiatives that will support a comprehensive fleet service.

The component parts of the Road Transport Initiatives Project are as follows:

• Fleet Management
• Car Park Management
• GPS Telematics / Duress Alarm
• Driver Training & Safety
• Vehicle Booking Software
• Car Seat Replacement & Management

We find ourselves moving into a busy period for the project leading into pilot. There are a number of areas where support is required, including control book and schedule updates, documentation support, process, FAQs, and desk-files. 

Ngā pūmanawatanga ōu | What you will bring

Key requirements of the role include: 

• Demonstrated experience in supporting Project Manager/Project Team in a large-scale project, ideally at least 2 years' experience.
• Experience in maintaining project plans.
• Experience of maintaining project finances.
• Experience in producing effective presentations, status reports and other project artefacts.
• Have intermediate knowledge of email software, MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel.
• Have advanced/expert knowledge of MS Project or other project management software.
• Have a working knowledge of Prince2 and Agile methodologies.
• A clean, current driver's licence is essential and a willingness to drive the Ministry's vehicles if needed.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Accurately and clearly convey timely information and ideas, using a style and manner of presentation appropriate to the target audience.
• Effective time management skills and ability to juggle multiple priorities.
• Understanding and appreciation of cross-cultural practices in particular; knowledge of tikanga Māori, and Pacific peoples' culture
