Mō te tÅ«nga | About the role

The Programme Coordinator will work closely with and support the programme and the Programme Manager. The future direction of the organisation has been set and the Programme Coordinator will work with the programme that will bring this to life. The foundation and initial ground work of the programme has been established and now it's time to take that to the next phase. You will be someone who enjoys working in a fast paced and changing environment.

There is a high level of internal and external engagement which will require exceptional coordination and collaboration with the Minister's office, Iwi, partners, the wider organisation, and projects within the programme.

 

Ngā pūmanawatanga ōu | What you will bring

Key requirements of the role include: 

  • Have intermediate knowledge of email software, MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Have advanced/expert knowledge of MS Project or other project management software
  • Have a working knowledge of Prince2 and Agile methodologies
  • A clean, current drivers licence is essential and a willingness to drive the Ministry's vehicles if needed
  • Demonstrated experience in supporting Project Manager/Project Team in a large-scale project
  • Experience in maintaining programme/project plans.
  • Experience of maintaining programme/project finances.
  • Able to prioritise, schedule work to meet deadlines and maintain the quality of services delivered
  • Experience in producing effective presentations, status reports and other project artefacts.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, demonstrate initiative, adapt and cope with continuing change
  • Understanding and appreciation of cross-cultural practices in particular; knowledge of tikanga Māori, and Pacific peoples' culture
