Operating from the inner Eastern suburb of Oakleigh South office/warehouse. The Little Linen Company are looking for a new family member to join them in the role of Textile Production Coordinator. 

With a design led team going through high growth, The Little Linen Company create, manufacture and supply awesome baby textile and toy products both here and abroad.   

Production is offshore shipping FOB to Australia and direct to international export distributors and channel partners. 

• Full-time  
• possibility of OS travel 

Reporting to the Operations Manager you will have the following key responsibilities 

• Timely coordination of production offshore from ordering through to arrival 
• Management of the approval process from sampling through to bulk 
• QA and compliance execution including inspections, testing and certification 
• Orchestration of shipping and freight for domestic and export supply 
• Supplier relations and sourcing 

The Candidate 

 Must haves  

• An interest in the planet and the people on it and are ok with doing good and happy to strive to do better. 
• Textile Savvy – you know your way around fiber, yarn, fabric, composition, construction a sewing room and finished textile products. You know a ‘needle detection policy’ has nothing to do with Russian athletes  
• Calm and Order – holding the marionette strings of products in manufacture is fun but also requires a calm head. The best puppeteers make those strings look invisible  
• Exceptional time management – you have basically been born a clock or a ‘post it’ note and your favourite pastime is looking at different scheduling systems 
• Confucius Says – Your understanding of China goes beyond ordering a #1 Prawn Cracker at the Happy Phoenix or being able to pick up peanuts with chop sticks.  You either speak Mandarin and/or know intimately the complexities of Asian textile supply chains. 
• Cupid – You will, like us, get a great kick out making great products that parents fall in love with 
• Lecxe – You know Excel backwards. You have also been guilty of making a spreadsheet to manage your spreadsheets.
