As a supplier to the building sector, Archant is going from strength. The business is really busy and gearing up for further expansion. With the acquisition of a new production facility the company has now added bespoke  benchtops to its extensive range of premium products. 

This new role has been created to assist the Production & Design Manager in all administrative tasks for the day-to-day running of this busy operation.   What will you be doing?  

This is an Assistant Manager role with responsibility for:

  • Providing support to drive high quality product delivery and customer service.
  • Estimating and quoting.
  • Production scheduling.
  • Leading site environmental compliance, health and safety.
  • Working alongside the sales and supply teams to ensure service expectations are met in a safe and timely manner.
  • Communicating with customers on project status and installation dates.
  • Liaising with materials and machinery suppliers.
  • Creating and managing R&M plans for all production machinery.
  • Maintaining production SOPs and training records.
  • Supporting the implementation of production strategies and processes that maximise the long-term profitability and sustainability of the business.

Who are we looking for?

  • You’ll bring production experience from within a manufacturing or project-based environment. There is flexibility regarding your industry experience, however a background in stone or ceramic benchtops, tile installation, or bespoke glass fabrication (eg balustrades) would be ideal.
  • You have proven experience in production planning and scheduling.
  • You'll be comfortable working in a cross functional environment where you'll be able to build strong relationships with your colleagues.
  • You have strong communication and relationship development skills.
  • You have the ability to support continuous improvement, including H&S requirements.
  • You are a confident adapter of technology and are proficient in using computers and related software.
