Your role:
The PO is responsible for the Bank’s Framework API backlog, prioritizing and organizing it and ensuring it is healthy. You will also:
- Understand the business and technical needs of digital experts, lines of business (LOBs) and requesting projects
- Articulate business and technical needs by developing user stories (US) for each feature, and validating/following up with digital experts, LOBs and requesting projects
- Upstream: Align business needs and prerequisites with the Architect and Analyst
- Be responsible for the backlog and its health and organization: well-formulated US, clearly defined acceptance criteria, correct positioning/prioritizing, and sound organization (US under the correct epic /feature, etc.)
- Be responsible for ensuring prerequisites, content, analytics and technical analyses progress and are tracked
- Upstream: Challenge contributors to facilitate the kick-off/backlog refinement
- Organize and lead weekly meetings with contributing teams
- Create and update tasks in the Jira backlog
- Support the DEV teams in clarifying business and technical needs during the development of Technical Stories (TS)
- Work closely with the Architect, PM and Scrum Master/Delivery Manager in supporting the DEV Lead when signing off on features
- Coordinate US planning and approval from digital experts, LOB and Content (writer and translator) during UAT. The Business PO is invited to the meetings, but does not validate UATs
- Prioritize defects and bugs (Prod anomalies) and participate in triage meetings
- Provide visibility on new features and bugs that are put in Prod during rollout meetings, including:
- Updating the detailed information on features to give support teams the correct information
- Documenting the feature to assist clients
- Monitoring client comments/feedback, usage statistics, KPIs
- Providing feedback to digital experts on the behaviour of features in order to plan/prioritize future updates
- Participate in various Squad ceremonies (Planning, Daily, Retro, Stakeholders, Partners, etc.)

Required skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering or a related field
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience as a product owner or business analyst in IT or digital project delivery
- Very solid experience in information technology
- Experience in the development of complex software solutions including back-end services (micro-service architecture) and client interfaces
- Sound knowledge of collaborative tools (JIRA/Confluence)
- Scrum experience
- Scrum certification, an asset

- Ability to manage priorities, influence others, make decisions and communicate verbally and in writing
- French important (spoken and written); functional English.
