Job Description
You will represent the Insurance/Assistance sector, make strategic decisions and act as a product leader to maximize the value of your projects for the sector in a timely manner. You will also work with multidisciplinary teams to prioritize projects and ensure delivery.
Your role:
- Act as Product Owner for complex projects
- Be responsible for delivering initiatives and contribute to creating a roadmap to develop solutions
- Lead projects in multidisciplinary teams with internal and external partners by representing clients' best interests and bringing added value to the Bank
- Prioritize and coordinate tasks to deliver the most added value while considering any constraints or interdependencies with other projects affecting the Insurance/Assistance sector and other Bank sectors involved
- Prioritize activities according to user needs by taking into account constraints, business needs and management tools to ensure sound development and an optimal client experience while fostering robust change management
- Manage the impacts of interdependencies with other projects, take advantage of related opportunities and suggest mitigation measures, as needed
- Act as a product expert for sponsors and stakeholders
- Inform stakeholders about the progress of the initiative and solution
- Influence decisions by effectively sharing your product vision and information about complex situations
- Make continuous improvements and corrections to the product to enhance the experience and meet our clients’ current and future needs
- Represent the Insurance/Assistance sector with various internal and external committees and stakeholders
- Greatly contribute to the PO community and improve practices by acting as a coach for other POs
Required skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 6 years of relevant experience OR master’s degree in a related field and 4 years of relevant experience OR university certificate/undergraduate diploma from the National Bank University Program and 8 years of relevant experience
- Experience in delivering online solutions as a Product Owner (PO) in Agile mode
- Experience in business analysis and process review
- Ability to quickly grasp complex issues and make recommendations
- Great organizational and priority management skills
- Influential leadership skills and a strong team player
Preferred skills:
- Knowledge of the life and health insurance industry
- Knowledge of information technology and the development cycle, an asset
- Bilingualism, both spoken and written (English and French), an asset
