Description
Product Manager, ESG Research Data Products is responsible for supporting strategic product priorities for ESG Risk Ratings products. This person will gather and prioritize product and customer requirements, and work closely with IT, client relations, sales, and marketing to deliver commercially successful ESG Risk Ratings data product. In addition, this person will help integrate ESG Risk Ratings product within Morningstar group of companies including PitchBook, DBRS and Morningstar platforms. The role requires tactical collaboration with all functions, including client/market facing role and implementation of product features. You will join a dynamic and strategically important team and contribute to the development of dynamic products. The ideal candidate will have experience in both product development in a financial services industry and application of data products in ESG.
Job Responsibilities
Understanding Customer Needs Customer needs are clearly defined and communicated to functional team members for product development
Identifying ML Use Cases Understand business needs and develop business case for the product(s)
ML Knowledge and Time Requirements Utilize ML knowledge and minimize the time required for effective management of product deliverables while maximizing productivity
Using Results for Insights Understand datasets, analyze them, and derive business insights to make data-backed and informed decisions
Figuring Out ML Solutions Understand and communicate to others how machine learning is used to solve a product problem
Launching Products on Time Effectively manage product research, development, and management, ensuring everything happens on time
Support Client Relations and Functional partners - Provide advice to clients and client teams on the value and utility of the product(s). Manage day-to-day execution of product development with functional partners to launch product in market
Market Research and Use Case Insights Research and collect market intelligence to identify market trends and develop product propositions and product improvement opportunities
