Product Manager, ESG Research is responsible for supporting strategic product priorities for ESG Risk Ratings Corporate products. This person will gather and prioritize product and customer requirements, and work closely with Sustainable Corporate Solutions client relations, IT, marketing and other functional teams to deliver commercially successful ESG Risk Ratings products. The role requires tactical collaboration with all functions, including client/market facing, operational and technology teams to implement product features. You will join a strategically important team and contribute to the development of dynamic products. The ideal candidate will have experience in both product development in a financial services industry and application of corporate products in ESG.
Job Responsibilities
Understanding Customer Needs Customer needs are clearly defined and communicated to functional team members for product development
Identifying Use Cases Understand business needs and develop business case for corporate product(s)
Time Requirements Utilize management skillsets and minimize the time required for product deliverables while maximizing productivity
Using Results for Insights Understand data, analyze them, and derive business insights to make data-backed and market informed decisions
Launching Products on Time Effectively manage product research, development, and management, ensuring everything happens on time
Support Client Relations and Functional partners - Provide advice to clients and client teams on the value and utility of the product(s). Manage day-to-day execution of product development with functional partners to launch product in market
Market Research and Use Case Insights Research and collect market intelligence to identify market trends and develop product propositions and product improvement opportunities
Qualifications
Masters degree in related discipline (business, economics or finance) or Bachelors degree with relevant experience
Consulting experience in Product management and development in financial industry or related services is preferred
Data Analyst experience and Product Owner certification is preferred
Experience managing communications with functional partners to develop and launch products
Use a technical and data-influenced approach to find solutions to product problems
Strong product strategy development and execution skills
Proficiency in product roadmap development
Assist product designers with data requirements for the product
Ability to identify opportunities for product expansion for new use cases
Work with the product deployment team to help customers realize product value
Experience related to application of ESG research for corporations and investment process is a benefit
Strong commercial and analytical skills
Alignment with Sustainalytics mission, vision, and values
Presentation skills (both in spoken and written formats), e.g., roadmap development, ppt skills, client interaction skills
A genuine team player who can achieve objectives through close collaboration and coordination with others (including technology, data & content operations, client services)
