What is the opportunity?

The Product Manager, Compliance Learning partners with key stakeholders to better understand regulatory requirements where education or training is required.  They act as performance consultants balancing the needs and interests of the regulatory requirements and user-experience to create, implement and maintain learning resources that build knowledge and awareness to mitigate risk to RBC.  The Product Manager, Compliance Learning brings an always learning mindset, a passion for complex problem solving and a creative lens to solutions. They maintain a strong service-orientation and can prioritize important and urgent needs to ensure we are focused where it matters most.

What will you do?

  • Assess and define the scope of regulatory requirements for education and
  • training and make recommendations for learning resource development, adoption or intervention
  • Work closely with the Senior Manager, Compliance Learning to maintain an overall view of the compliance learning portfolio – current offerings, emerging needs and priority for development and/or maintenance
  • Establish and maintain regular routines with compliance partners to provide updates and information on the compliance learning portfolio – look for opportunities for integration where possible
  • Partner with the Learning Design COE in the creation and/or maintenance of compliance learning resources and courses to ensure they balance the needs of regulatory requirements and user-experience
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for intake and response to litigation requests, audit requirements and respond in a timely manner
  • Partner with our Learning Services colleagues to support with inquiries related to troubleshooting technical issues, course assignments or course completions and action accordingly to maintain our service level agreement for timely responses
  • Monitor and report on course performance (completion, UX issues, learner satisfaction) and make recommendations for improvement
  • Regularly evaluate emerging needs and opportunities where we can deliver value and/or improve our efficiency and effectiveness
  • Stay connected to a network of internal partners, professional associations and vendors to stay informed of upcoming changes, industry trends, regulatory requirements and/or emerging solutions that could impact the Compliance Learning Portfolio

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have:

  • 5-7 years of related work experience (ideally in Compliance, Risk, Legal)
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and produce high-quality work under pressure
  • Demonstrated analytical thinking skills with a focus on the details
  • Proven ability to think strategically about complex issues and recommend solutions
  • Able to work independently and to collaborate across teams to achieve results
  • Deep expertise working with MS Excel
  • Experience identifying compliance learning gaps and regulatory requirements that must be addressed
  • Bilingual (English & French) is an asset

Nice to have:

  • Experience with Workday or other learning management systems
  • Experience managing vendor partnerships
  • Experience with global best practices in compliance learning

Note: This role is hybrid structured, spending most time primarily remote.  When in office, the team is based out of 181 Bay St, Toronto, ON
