The Opportunity & Team

We are now accepting applications for a Product Development Technologist – Food Service to join the Contract Manufacturing team at our site in Bega, NSW. This role is responsible for coordinating the implementation and commercialisation of new product development and projects.

Reporting to the Stream Lead - Brands, the Product Development Technologist will be accountable for:

• Development of new products including line extensions, new platforms and brand expansions, and innovation activities including product improvements and continuous improvement programs
• Drive the Product Development Process utilising Product Development and pre-commercialisation tools to work collaboratively with Production, Engineering, Logistics, Quality, Planning, Marketing, Finance and Sales functions
• Project planning including initiation and implementation to the point of product launch ex-factory, including trial work

Additionally, you will have:

• Tertiary qualifications in Food Science or Food Technology  
• Demonstrated technical experience within manufacturing or FMCG (2 to 5 years), preferably with dairy product exposure
• High level knowledge of food processing, packaging technology, food law and regulatory compliance
• Competent in Microsoft Project, and the Microsoft Office suite  
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills, preferably with formal training in statistical analysis
• Demonstrated project management expertise (2 to 5 years)
