What is the opportunity?

As a leading automotive financial service provider, RBC Automotive Finance (AF) strives to be the lender of choice for the automotive industry and build lasting relationships with dealers, manufacturers and consumers. In this role, you will provide support to both the Retail Products team, as well as the AF Specialized Lending (SL) team. The Retail Products team is responsible for product management activities to achieve business objectives for Indirect Lending, while SL team provides funding and balance sheet solutions to non-bank corporate and commercial credit companies serving the Canadian automotive sector. 

What will you do?

- Support the product teams in driving market share growth through continuous development of product features and policies

- Compile industry research of key client segments including newcomers and first-time buyers, in support of product strategy development

- Conduct competitive analysis to validate assumptions and uncover new market opportunities

- Support the product team with product escalations and risk mitigation activities

- Support the Associate Manager – Portfolio and Transaction Management in completing complex client transactions.

- Conducts fulfillment of daily and ad hoc funding and repayment events, performing transactional quality assurance, post daily debits and credits

- Generate daily reporting and applicable reconciliation exercises for related general ledger accounts

- Monitor system tools with time sensitivity to ensure tasks are completed within agreed upon time lines.

 What do you need to succeed?

Must-Have

- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program for the 2022/2023 school year

- Ability to effectively collaborate with others in a fast-paced environment

- Strong written/oral communication skills to develop and convey thoughtful and insightful explanations

- Strong MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) skillset

- Attention to detail and time management is critical

Nice To Have

- Previous exposure to the automotive industry

- Product management or analytics experience
