Responsibilities

Systems Engineer will be responsible for multi-disciplinary problem solving. They will provide inspired solutions to these problems and communicate the ideas to the broader team. Each individual will come with a particular skillset and this will need to be applied across the program.

 

To be flexible when needed and rigid when needed, hold your peers and yourself accountable to what makes the best product for our customer.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years Knowledge or expertise in physical or geometric optics
  • 3+ years Knowledge or expertise in optical design or metrology
  • 3+ years of Technical Program and/or Product Management

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge or expertise in Mechanical engineering
  • Knowledge or expertise in precision engineering
  • Knowledge or expertise in data processing
  • Knowledge or expertise in algorithms or specification definition
  • Knowledge or expertise in image processing or graphics pipeline
  • Knowledge or expertise in imaging sensors
  • Knowledge or expertise in displays
  • Knowledge or expertise in calibration
  • Knowledge or expertise in statistics and DOE
  • Communication is key, both written and verbal
  • Knowledge or expertise in robotics or automation
  • Knowledge or expertise in MATLAB, Python, C/#, or JMP
  • +5 years AR/VR/MR experience
  • Bachelors, Masters, or PhD in Science or Engineering related area (or relevant portfolio of work)
  • Open to ambiguity and self-motivated to solve problems
  • Ability to navigate teams to find the best solutions
  • Bias for action, and data driven.

This position requires access to export-controlled commodities, technical data, technology, software, and services governed by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Due to contractual limitations and ITAR obligations associated with this role, U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, or protected person status under 8 U.S.C. § 1324b(a)(3) is required. 

 

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
