The Azure HPC team is looking for passionate candidates in HPC and AI fields to help build the most powerful and reliable Supercomputers on Cloud, with a focus on performance, quality, reliability, and scalability.  

We are seeking for strong and passionate Senior Software Engineers to join the team and help design and develop automation features and tools that ensure the reliability, scalability, and quality of Azure HPC ML/AI offerings.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a motivated candidates who are passionate about AI/ML and would like to join us and build the most reliable Supercomputers on Cloud.  

The ideal candidate will have a passion for new technology and understand what it takes to onboard new hardware / software technology in a zero-downtime environment. In this position, you will work on end-to-end automated tools for validation, monitoring, diagnostic and regression prevention for HPC VM offerings. You will have the opportunity to learn about state-of-the-art interconnect solutions and latest ML/AI hardware accelerators that driving Azure Supercomputers. You should be comfortable working on highly available systems that operate at massive scale and focused on quality.  

Qualifications

Required:  

1. Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Design, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent alternative education, skills, and/or practical experience 
2. 8+ years of industry software engineering experience, including delivering highly available services and platforms 

Preferred:  

1. Deep knowledge in Azure internals is a big plus  
2. Prior hands-on development experience including leading architecture for large scale system, designing, writing, and reviewing code in Python/C#/C/C++ 
3. InfiniBand fabric hands-on expertise is a big plus 
4. Familiarity with system design and low-level cloud ML/AI server architecture  
5. Familiarity with Windows and Linux internals 
6. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
