How will you crush it? As a Developer, you'll build high quality software solutions that people enjoy using to do their daily work. You'll work with awesome people that care about their craft and what they deliver. Your efforts will directly contribute to making things better for thousands of our customers. As part of working on our Agile teams, you own your domain and will drive the user experience and technical design. You'll be designing and implementing solutions that include database schemas, business logic, as well as some presentation layer work (you're a full-stack developer).
As a Principal Developer, you will make meaningful impact across all SuitePeople teams by making coordinated efforts on improving existing code, spreading software development best practices and mentoring individual developers. Having opinions and being outspoken are essential to your success but you'll also be open to others' points of view. You will provide feedback on architectural decisions and technical direction. You will often scout ahead on what's next and assess the feasibility and complexity of upcoming projects. You will collaborate with our Engineering Excellence team and, ultimately, will be a champion for technical excellence in everything you touch. You'll be an advocate for doing agile well and you'll drive continuous improvement with the team, the product and our processes.

Your qualifications & skills B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent
Intimate understanding of modern web applications from database to browser
8 years of software development experience
5 years of experience with Java or any other similar Object-Oriented Programming language
Intimate understanding of SQL and extensive experience with database-driven applications
Experience working with JavaScript/TypeScript and a modern frontend framework such as React or Vue
Extensive knowledge of Design Patterns, Object-Oriented Programming paradigm and SOLID principles
Familiar with Domain-Driven Design, clean architecture and Test-Driven Development
Great problem-solving skills and ability to abstract functional requirements
Excellent communicator in both technical and non-technical contexts
Experience designing and improving complex software applications
Experience coaching and mentoring developers at various levels of experience
Nice to Haves Experience in the U.S Payroll domain
Good understanding of networking concepts
You have led a team of engineers
