Our Opportunity:

In this role you'll provide process engineering and risk management technical expertise to support the Engineering Manager to deliver strategic and tactical business objectives. You will be part of the Process Safety Engineering team and part of your function will be to support the roll out of the process safety strategy. You will be acting as the foremost process engineering authority, ensuring appropriate management of change processes are robust and used appropriately to identify and manage risk within the business.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assist to develop and support technical resources to protect the integrity of operational assets
  • Support systems to monitor and trend asset performance across the system and advising specialist engineering resources to improve performance or trouble shoot complex equipment issues.
  • Assist to maintain and governs engineering standards that inform an integral part of the Management of Change process
  • Assist with communities of practice for the engineering function across Mercury ensuring that risk is appropriately managed in line with regulatory or industry requirement

We are looking for:

  • Degree or higher qualification in Engineering or a related discipline experience with greater than 10 years' experience.
  • Maintain membership of a professional institute (i.e. ENZ), and or evidence of achievement of post graduate professional qualifications (desirable)
  • Strong relationship building skills with the ability to develop and establish relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
