We (Multimedia search and recommendation team) are looking for a seasoned and passionate manager to drive media recommendation ranking area, who has deep technical expertise in recommendation, machine learning, deep learning, and natural language processing/computer vision with an ability to drive direction for the team. As data scientist manager of Media Recommendation team, you are responsible for driving overall business metrics and quality metrics for media products. You are also responsible for recommendation technical roadmap/engineer stack including recommendation modeling (state of art collaborative filter etc) as well as agile data pipeline engineering fundamental to ensure team agility. You are also responsible for retaining, coaching and attracting talents in the teams.

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include:

• Lead a team of data scientists and engineers to drive media recommendation ranking. Retain, coach and attract talents
• Define business and quality metrics
• Drive technical road map to develop/experiment/ship state of the art recommendation model including DL as well as traditional ML.
• Collaborate with related UX and platform team to deliver business results.
• Pursue high impact work to quickly deliver on critical areas that our users value.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
• 2+ years’ leadership experience of managing data scientist team
• 6+ years professional experiment in machine learning
• 3+ years’ experience in deep learning or recommendation area
• Strong leadership skill and communication skills.
• Strong Recommendation/ML, Coding, Math, Analytical & Problem Solving.

Preferred Qualifications:
• PHD in recommendation/DL area/NLP/CV. Published work in recommendation area would be a strong plus
• Experience in successfully delivering business metrics improvement on customer-face media recommendation product with business metrics
• Experience for managing both data scientists and engineers
• Enjoy learning and ramping up on new technologies quickly.
