Cognizant’s Digital Engineering practice is seeking a highly qualified Principal Architect with Site Reliability experience. You will work side by side with product managers, designers, and clients, making decisions together in order to quickly deliver valuable working solutions to clients and their users. Experience/ Skills required:

• SRE with 18+ years of exposure to Performance, Observability, Reliability and Resilience/Chaos Engineering of largescale latency sensitive enterprise applications
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, influencing, collaboration and negotiation skills        
• Prior experience in managing large practices (100+ members) engaging in practice development activities and nurturing career aspirations of team members
• Experience in handling large Performance Engineering/SRE based RFPs, overseeing solutions development and participating in Client Communications and presentations
• Ability to provide thought leadership, create roadmaps and strategies for practice improvement, develop and outline Vision and Mission statements is a must
• Prior experience in delivery management for multiple customers in different geographical regions is required. Delivery experience in 25M+ portfolio is desired
• Ability to work with geographically diverse teams and delivery structures, offshoring models is a big plus
• Experienced in Application performance management tools and frameworks like Dynatrace, AppD, Elastic stack, Grafana stack, etc.
• Experienced with telemetry tooling and observability systems such as: Jaegar, Prometheus, OpenTracing, OpenTelemetry, App Dynamics, Splunk, DataDog, NewRelic, Lightstep, Grafana.
• Expert in ITSM process & tools like JIRA, ServiceNow, Pagerduty, knowledgeable in AIOps process and tools like Moogsoft.
• Expert in developing executive friendly dashboards based on observable metrics in IT systems (KPIs, Incident Trends, MTTR, MTTD etc).
• Knowledgeable in Observability tool and framework standardization and unification.
• Experienced with some amount of ‘Big Data’ technologies such as: ElasticSearch, NoSql Stores, Kafka, Columnar Databases, DataFlow or Pipeline Systems, Graph DataStores.
• Expertise in Log Analytics (Custom built tools, Splunk). Exposure to Kibana, Elastic Search.
• Strong experience with ServiceNow ITOM, ITSM Modules that focuses Discovery, Event Management, Incident, Problem and Change Management
• Excellent understanding of Docker & Kubernetes or similar container based architectures
• Excellent understanding of micro-services architecture, design patterns, and standard methodologies with an eye towards scale, automation, resiliency, and high availability
• Quick learner with an attitude to explore and learn new tools and framework
