The Sector Digital Portfolio Team is a small but expanding team that engages across the motu to support digital strategy and investment activities, alongside other key functions. It is part of the Data and Digital Directorate which supports the health system to deliver better services and health outcomes.

Te whainga poto o tÄ“nei tÅ«ranga – What is the purpose of this position?: 

This is a newly created and exciting opportnity to leadand ensureoptimal design and use of digital systems and enabling technologies, with a focus on facility developments. They will work closely with the Health Infrastructure Unit and health provider agencies to ensure that digital technology, business and clinical processes and facility design are aligned.

Ngā PÅ«kenga me ngā Wheako – Skills & Experience: 

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• An appropriate tertiary level professional qualification and/or significant relevant work experience (minimum of 10 years across technical analysis, solution architecture, strategy development, and people management work areas). Experience of the New Zealand health system is highly desirable
• An appropriate qualification from an internationally recognised IT architecture body (e.g. TOGAF, IASA)
• Well-developed understanding of the main issues for the New Zealand health sector and demonstrated application of this understanding in health information models
• Expertise across a range of areas that include enterprise architecture, information strategy and planning, vendor management and/or business change
• Proven track record at aligning business strategy to business & technology architecture

Strong relationship management skills and experience in engaging with a range of sector groups and agencies
