The Digital Ecosystem team is a newly formed team focused on developing and delivering on strategies to better support our extensive network of partners in the tax ecosystem. These range from accountants to tax agents and include digital service providers offering solutions for financial, tax and payroll management. In this role you will have the opportunity to shape the future direction of Inland Revenue while also being part of building a team that will make a positive difference to our partners, our customers and NZ Inc.

Mō te tūnga | About the role

As Planning and Delivery Lead you will be responsible for planning and driving the delivery of initiatives in the digital ecosystem strategy. This includes developing and maintaining roadmaps for the delivery and enhancement of enabling services and the scoping and costing of development activities.

A critical aspect of this role is aligning the internal delivery process with the external change management process and ensuring that any delivered initiatives can be successfully adopted by the ecosystem.

In this varied role you will be responsible for:

• Supporting and driving the delivery of initiatives to execute the Digital strategy, managing resources, risks and issues across the organisation and considering impacts on the wider digital ecosystem.
• Creating detailed plans for the delivery of initiatives, with strong stakeholder engagement to ensure commitment and buy in.
• Manage the delivery of planned initiatives to ensure the delivery meets time, cost and quality requirements.
• Ensure that change impact on partners, customers and IR are well understood, planned for and managed.
• Ensure operational readiness and capacity for any delivered initiatives and manage the transition from delivery to post-implementation operations.

• Proven experience of managing schedules, finances, risks, and issues in complex delivery environments.
• Ability to manage complex change and its impact on external stakeholders by applying fit-for-purpose change management approaches and methodologies.
