Purpose of the Role:
The position reports into the Senior Procurement Manager, Sydney and is forms an integral part of the Augment Resources team tasked with taking on consulting projects briefed by our clients. A professional at this position level within Augment has the following responsibilities: • Assisting with driving transformational improvements across client purchasing and sourcing organisations • Identifying and liaising with key client stakeholders to capture & analyse commercial and procurement requirements • Provide specialist advice in relation to the development of procurement policy and processes to a range of stakeholders across client businesses • Creation of expenditure category strategies and sourcing strategy processes • Undertaking spend analysis to identify cost optimisation opportunities
• Management of strategic sourcing projects & cost reduction projects • Facilitating the development of supplier relationship management strategies • Support the development of negotiation strategies for the acquisition of goods and service supply contracts • Perform contract administration, including review, extensions/renewals, and resolution of contract-related issues • Capture vendor performance against contractual obligations and key performance metrics • Client stakeholder liaison including report presentation
Your Essential Skills and Experience:
Skills: • Ability to analyse complex client procurement/supply chain problems • Ability to form strong client relationships • Ability to structure ideas and solutions, to communicate clearly and concisely • Excellent written, oral and presentation communication skills • A proficiency in Internet technology and Excel/Access skills are necessary. Exposure to data analytics is expected • An innovative and collaborative approach to problem-solving • Natural self-direction, with the ability to operate in ambiguity and learn quickly • Working in high-performing teams • Demonstrate understanding of procurement methodologies and processes.
Experience: • A strong background as a Procurement, Supply Chain or Business Analyst role • Exposure to Procurement, Contract Management and Commercial Management • Experience managing vendors and supply contract relationships • Demonstrated ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders • Experience with sourcing & tender processes
Qualifications: • Tertiary qualified in Business, Finance, Commerce, Accounting, Law or related disciplines
