The Group Customer Analytics & Transformation team sits within the Group Marketing function and supports our customers, colleagues and partners across Ireland, UK and Internationally.

In a changing market environment, where customer expectations continue to grow and there is an increasing demand for personalised customer experiences, Customer Analytics is leading the charge to enable and deliver this personalised experience through data analytics.

To deliver on this vision our team leverage internal and external data and apply data analytics and visualisation techniques to maximise the value of this data, explain it back to the business, and deliver positive outcomes for our customers and our business.

The complex challenges the team faces means there is considerable opportunity for team members to grow and develop both their technical and non-technical skills to achieve their full potential at Bank of Ireland.

What is the opportunity?

The Data Analytics Manager will play a key role as a senior member of the Customer Analytics team. The individual will be tasked with delivering concrete insights that translate into positive customer and business outcomes for the Marketing squads you support. You will have a commercial mind-set, understand the business and be someone who can identify and communicate opportunities for growth. You will be a great teammate who is self-motivated and passionate about data. You will be able to recognise areas where the wider Customer Analytics & Transformation team's abilities can support. You will be comfortable working in a fast paced environment and be able to prioritise work across multiple areas. You will be as comfortable wrangling data and creating visualisations as you are with engaging with business areas and translating their business problems into analytics.

Key Accountabilities

Provide detailed analysis and understanding of customers' needs and interests across different customer segments and products.

Responsible for providing insight into the performance of your squad's activity and identify actions to increase performance. Following through to ensure change is delivered and measured.

Set the standard for high quality and impactful output across the team.

Support the development of a strong culture within Customer Analytics to attract and retain top talent.

Play a key role in building the brand of Customer Analytics internally and externally by demonstrating the value Customer Analytics delivers for our Customers.

Who are You

Essential Skills / Experience

  • Previous experience working in Analytics /Business, with at least 2 years' as a senior analyst or analytics manager.
  • Strong partner management skills and a proven track record of inspiring change through data and analytics.
  • Experience working in a commercial, marketing or trading performance role.
  • SQL skills are essential.
  • Experience of working in Agile delivery squads.

Desirable Skills / Experience

  • Bachelors in Business, Mathematics, Computer Science, Analytics, or equivalent quantitative field.
  • Experience with Teradata, Tableau or similar data technologies.
  • Experience of working in financial services and/or with marketing teams
  • Demonstrable experience measuring the value of analytics in terms of increased revenue, customer outcomes or reduced cost.

We have a hybrid working model, with home, agile hub and office based options available. We will always list a primary location which can be where you go for in person collaboration, and a location where you can best perform your role.

This job can be done anywhere in the Republic of Ireland with the primary office location as Dublin to which travel will be required for in person collaboration.

Exact frequency to be agreed with manager.
