This vacancy is fixed term to provide additional coordination support within the People & Capability team given the current business need.

Where will you be based?

Careerforce has offices in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch, ideally you would be Wellington-based. We offer flexible working for those wanting to work from home.

 

What’s Involved?

The People & Capability Coordinator contributes to Careerforce by:

  • Responding to HR queries sent to the HR Support email Inbox.
  • Providing information to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and initiatives.
  • Supporting end-to-end recruitment processes.
  • Preparing employment variations and accurately recording variations.
  • Coordinating in-house and external training, as per professional development programme needs.
  • Contributing to wellness and engagement events/activities and planning on a regular basis.
  • Supporting wellbeing strategy through coordination and promotion of events and campaigns.
  • Ensuring all employee information is collected and stored in line with company procedures and discretion is always maintained.

 

Our ideal candidate is someone who:

  • Has experience coordinating end-to-end recruitment processes.
  • Has highly developed communication skills, including written, listening and verbal
  • Has strong relationship building and management skills.
  • Can take initiative and demonstrate flexibility and adaptability.
  • Has excellent enthusiasm and drive.
  • Can work effectively as part of a team and autonomously. 
  • Has a good understanding of effective/persuasive visual and technical communications.
  • Can learn and put into practice new skills and knowledge.

 

You will also need to demonstrate the following:

  • NCEA Level 3 experience.
  • 2 – 3 years’ experience in an HR role.
  • Relevant customer service experience.
  • A good awareness and understanding of HR practices and ER issues.
  • A high level of computer literacy in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A working understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi in practice.
