Join the team

Reporting into the Head of People and Capability, Our People and Culture Business Partners coach and support leaders within their allocated client group. They relied on to provide business focused, strategic, and operational people solutions. Due to internal promotion we have an excellent opportunity for a P&C professional, keen to step up to join our fast paced world. This role specifically will partner with the National Office function and have a focus on our Merchandise teams. The P&C BP will help to identify future functional capability needs, manage talent, and deploy capability programs, all while leveraging centres of excellence where appropriate for support and advice.

What you'll be doing

As a People & Capability Business Partner working for Kmart you will:

  • Building strong working relationships based on credibility and open communication, enabling the provision of professional, commercial and timely advice to your client group.
  • Partnering with management, to gain an understanding of the business to ensure advice provided meets set goals and objectives.
  • Lead, coach and motivate others in the development of robust and innovative approaches to build ownership and engagement at all levels.
  • Develop and implement tools, procedures and practices that support the provision of service excellence and the education and up-skilling of managers to achieve effective outcomes.
  • Develop and deliver people programs centred around performance, leave management, succession planning, retention, etc.

To be successful in this role you'll have:

  • Strong experience in HR Advisory/ BP/HR Generalist positions, ideally within large matrixed organisations.
  • You enjoy working autonomously, effectively managing your own time and driving success within your portfolio, whilst also contributing and collaborating within a team.
  • Results-driven and solutions-focused with a strong commercial lens.
  • Outstanding influencing and stakeholder management skills, with a strong service focus.
  • The ability to flex between supporting strategic direction and rolling your sleeves up to be hands-on, depending on business needs.
  • Experience supporting a technology or digital client group would be advantages.
