The Opportunity

Understanding our clients and our people is key to ensuring we have the right people, with the right skills, in the right locations, available at the right time to meet our client and stakeholder needs.

As the People and Clients Coordinator, you'll support A&A leadership and practitioners and play an important role in the implementation and delivery of resource management services to provide operational excellence whilst supporting our talent strategy. The role is people focused and is founded on establishing effective working relationships with all key stakeholders.

 

You will also have a role in supporting our Audit Quality and Risk team who monitor developments that impact our client portfolio.

Please add something about the ability to work virtually, as well as from the office. Flexible with whether they work full time or a minimum of 25 hours per week if part time. 

 

Job Summary

As the People and Clients Coordinator you will coordinate the resourcing and utilisation of our practitioners, monitor and provide information to leadership on our staff and client portfolios, and support delivery of our talent strategy. This will involve:

  • Driving the year-round planning process working closely with A&A managers and partners to understand the resourcing requirements for their client engagements.
  • Managing bookings and updates to ensure that the scheduling system accurately reflects the current and forward-looking resourcing position. This will involve learning about, testing and transitioning to a new system.
  • Negotiating with partners and managers when work needs to be reallocated (managing conflicts).

 

Bringing data together from our client portfolio and staff scheduling systems in order to:

  • Assist A&A leadership to ensure that clients are appropriately allocated to partners and engagement quality reviewers (when one is required)
  • Understand when engagements may need accredited staff to be allocated
  • Understand when key engagement team members may need to change/rotate to comply with professional and ethical standards, and
  • Assist the audit quality & risk team with their monitoring of developments that impact the client portfolio
  • ·Be a trusted advisor who provides balanced and pragmatic advice around manpower planning and resource management
  • Ensure that staff are appropriately matched to jobs which are challenging and developmental
  • Provide up-to-date management information, analysis and advice on availability, forecast utilisation, and available resources to management on a regular basis
  • Provide regular reporting on historical workloads so that action can be taken to prioritise the health and wellbeing of our staff
  • Support A&A leadership and audit quality & risk team with other reporting needs and ad hoc requests.

  • Bright, outgoing personality with a positive outlook and strong team-working bias
  • Ability to gain immediate credibility with senior staff and trust of all staff
  • Ability to gain an in-depth understanding of the A&A practice
  • Hands on approach with ability to 'juggle' several tasks at once
