Mercy Hospice is seeking a People and Capability Administrator who lives our values of aroha (compassion), whakanui (respect) and tapu o te tangata (dignity) and who wants to make a real difference.
The People and Capabilities Administrator works closely with the HR (Human Resources) and L&D (Learning and Development) team, providing essential support, including management of the Mercy Hospice Learning Zone (Decebo Learning Management System) and eLearning content design.
We are looking for a person who is passionate about people and who has an eye for design.
It’s an exciting time to join us as we embark on a journey to develop our Mercy Hospice Learning Zone to support the learning needs of our clinical / non- clinical staff and external clinical partners. In addition, you will be involved in assisting the HR team with fostering a healthy workplace environment. If you are a recent HR or management graduate who is friendly, warm, with a can-do attitude, this role is for you!

This position is a full time (1.0 FTE, 40 hours per week) position, working Monday to Friday at Mercy Hospice 61 College Hill, Ponsonby. Flexibility to work from home is supported, up to two days per week. The HR team includes the Learning and Development, and Volunteering teams and has a great workplace culture of supportive comradery.
The COVID-19 Public Health Resources (Vaccinations) Order 2021 requires all workers who work in the health and disability sector to be fully vaccinated. This includes facilities such as Mercy Hospice where vulnerable patients are treated. This role will be included within this order, and the successful candidate will need to be fully vaccinated.

Mercy Hospice is an industry leader and has been delivering specialist palliative care for over 40 years. It has a 13-bed in-patient unit and a community nursing team providing patient-centred palliative care to approximately 1,200 people a year.
