About the Role

In this full time role you will be part of the Payroll & HR Shared Services team and have the flexibility to work from any of our offices nationally, and may work from home from time to time.

Reporting into the Payroll & HRSS Manager you will work collaboratively in managing all payroll functions ensuring accurate and on-time delivery of payroll operations and provide support and guidance to all APM employees in relations to pay related matters.

 

Your responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

  • Administering the Payroll process end to end
  • Administering processes relating to superannuation, Payroll tax and other employee benefits
  • Managing internal Payroll workflows using iChris including; departures, contractual changes, parental leave requests
  • Partnering with HR Shared Services to update and maintain accurate records in the HR/Payroll system (iChris)
  • Liaising with team members in resolving Payroll discrepancies and calculations
  • Assisting with month-end reporting
  • Responding to leader and employee queries via both email and phone in a timely and professional manner
  • Supporting with key People and Culture initiatives (e.g. process enhancements)

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need at least two years end to end Payroll experience in high volume environment (2,000+ employees). You will have experience working in a fast paced and busy environment.

You will have experience and an understanding of interpreting multiple Modern Awards. You will be a team player, an effective communicator, have strong attention to detail and be able to manage competing priorities whilst maintaining a positive, solutions-oriented approach.

In addition to this, you will have:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • An ability to create and maintain relationships with all stakeholders
  • Be able to work under tight timelines
  • Intermediate to advance use of Microsoft Excel
  • Experience of iChris/Chris21 system will be preferred
  • Exposure to both AU and NZ payroll desirable but not essential
